Shelley is a talented sprinter who won gold in the Midlands Indoors and was selected for the UK trials at Sheffield in the seniors competition.

  Jamie Blundell
Jamie is ranked no. 1 in the UK at U20 age group and is the current English Schools long jump champion.
Junior/School Team Of The Year
  Kinghurst City Technology College
Kingshurst City Technology College Football team won the Solihull, and West Midlands Cup and were semi-finalists in the national schools cup.
Coventry Schools Sports Partnership Primary School Award
  Coleshill Primary School
Coleshill – nominated by Solihull for their overall outstanding contribution to PE and School Sport.
Coventry Schools Sports Partnership Secondary School Award
Holly Scott 
Holly was nominated for her outstanding contribution to PE and School Sport. 
Higher/Further Education Sportsperson Of The Year
Danielle Stewart
Danielle from Warwick Uni  is both a triathlete and duathlete who achieved first place in the national duathlon ranking series for 2008 and won a silver medal at the British Duathlon championships
Community Coach Of The Year
Debbie Hone
Debbie is a pivotal figure in netball in the rugby area and has developed the opportunities and competitions for both junior and senior players giving huge dedication to this role
Community Sports Award
Positive Future
Positive Futures (Solihull) deliver programmes to groups of young people giving them an opportunity to be involved in sport 
Sports Volunteer Of The Year
David Boot
David has devoted over 50 years voluntary service to the sports of swimming and water polo from club to national level.
Media Reporter Of The Year
Geoff Foster
Geoff is a former winner of this prize. With Clive, he provides coverage of the Sky Blues on BBC Coventry and Warwickshire and also covers the Coventry Blaze, presenting “Face Off”, a monthly ice hockey magazine programme
Disabled Sportswoman Of The Year
Fleur O’Donahue
Fleur competed at Special Olympics in Beijing in 2007 winning 2 gold medals and is a previous award winner in 2007
Disabled Sportsman Of The Year
Andrew Briant
Andrew is a previous nominee for this award, is currently a student at Coventry University and  represented GB in the European Disabled Futsal Championships 2007 at Futsal and became a cricket international in 2007 and recently returned from competing at the Beijing Olympics as part of Team GB
Professional Manager/Coach of The Year
Paul Thompson
Paul is a previous winner of this award and has an outstanding track record in delivering results with the Coventry Blaze
Team Of The Year
Khalsa Hockey Club
Khalsa Hockey, unbeaten throughout their season with some outstanding wins and promoted as champions, now experiencing a very good start to their new season
Sportswoman Of The Year
Naomi Folkard
Naomi, competed in Beijing this summer and silver medallist at European Championships, won her second Team Gold at the World Cup.
Sportsman of the Year
Adam Calder
Adam was the Elite League Player of the Year and is a record breaking goal scorer in his time with the club
Lifetime Achievement Award
Jon Wall 
Jon has given over 35 years of coaching to the West Midlands Trampolining Swuad and has produced a number of high performance athletes as well as getting huge numbers of people to participate
Sporting Occasion Of The Year
European Cup Race Walking
29 European countries, their national representatives and coaches with thousands of enthusiastic supporters crowding round the 1km closed circuit were treated to a feast of race walking - the finest display ever seen in Great Britain.
